Meet the Team

Owner, Senior Stylist
Katrina
Katrina, the owner and main stylist at Oakley Grooming, is a highly experienced dog groomer. With her City and Guilds in Dog Grooming and prior experience in veterinary nursing and canine hydrotherapy, she has honed her skills in ensuring the welfare and well-being of every furry client that walks through the door. Katrina's love for animals started at a young age, which eventually led her to earn a BSc (Hons) Degree in Applied Animal Studies.
As a proud owner of two dogs, Katrina understands the love and bond that can develop between pet owners and their furry companions. Oakley, her Working Sprocker Spaniel, is the inspiration behind the business name, and Loxley, her German wire-haired pointer, keeps things entertaining with his cheeky antics. In her spare time, Katrina loves to keep active with Zumba and spending quality time with friends.
When it comes to grooming, Katrina has a particular passion for scissoring and enjoys giving cockerpoos big fluffy legs and cute faces. She also has a love for hand-stripping and uses this technique to keep the coats of many breeds looking healthy and happy.
Overall, Katrina's dedication and expertise in dog grooming is evident in the care she provides to each and every one of her furry clients. Her love for animals, passion for grooming, and joyful personality make her a fantastic asset to any pet owner looking to keep their dog looking and feeling their best.

Senior Stylist, Salon Manager
Danielle
Hi there, it's great to virtually meet you!
My name is Danielle and I am a proud member of the Oakley Groomers team since March 2022. With a City and Guilds Level 3 in Dog Grooming and a Foundation Degree in Canine Training and Behaviour under my belt, you can rest assured that your furry friends are in capable and experienced hands.
My love for animals began at a young age, thanks to my upbringing surrounded by German Shepherds and Border Collies. To this day, I am constantly amazed by the unique personalities and quirks of each and every furry client that walks through our doors.
Outside of work, my days are kept busy by my spirited four-year-old son, Eddie. Together, we embark on all sorts of adventures - from hiking trails to visiting local petting zoos - anything to satisfy our thirst for new experiences. While I may not currently have any dogs of my own, Eddie certainly keeps me on my toes and provides plenty of opportunities for me to practice my dog-training skills!
So whether you are dropping off your pooch for a well-deserved pampering session or seeking some advice on dog training, I am always eager to help. Here's to many more adventures and happy tails!

Stylist
Sophie
Hello everyone, I'm Sophie and I'm thrilled to be part of the Oakley Grooming team! Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been fond of dogs and always dreamed of working in a dog environment. It took me some time to finally make my dream a reality, but I am now here and loving every minute of it! After completing my training at Brooksby college, I was proud to have gained my Level 2 City and Guilds qualification. Since then I've gone on to complete my Level 3. It wasn't easy, but I was determined to succeed, and now I feel more confident and passionate than ever before. I enjoy every aspect of dog grooming, from trimming and styling their fur to pampering them with spa treatments.
When I'm not at work, you can usually find me spending quality time with my beloved Westie Jeff. Jeff has been with me for 10 years, and he is the light of my life. We enjoy going on long walks in the countryside and exploring new areas. Jeff's boundless energy always keeps me on my toes and never fails to put a smile on my face. Working with dogs has truly been a dream come true for me. Not only do I get to work with these amazing animals every day, but I also get to see how much they mean to their owners. There is something truly special about being able to care for these furry friends, and I am honored to be a part of their lives. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me at Oakley Grooming!

Trainee Stylist, Assistant
Lydia
My name is Lydia, and from a young age, I have always been captivated by the world of animals. I have always been interested in animals and have worked in the equine industry, taking multiple exams to further my knowledge. Additionally, I have a huge interest in aquatics and creating self-sustaining ecosystems.
In my journey of animal companionship, I am proud to call a charming Cocker Spaniel my own. He is currently starting his training as a gun dog for fun and it has been a rewarding experience to witness his progress and growth.
Training and behavior have always fascinated me, and I have had the privilege of being surrounded by a diverse array of animals throughout my life. From horses and farm animals to dogs and various aquatic creatures like marine fish, each one has taught me valuable lessons about care, compassion, and understanding.
Beyond my love for animals, I also find solace in traveling. Together with my partner, we explore the beautiful landscapes of the British Isles, immersing ourselves in new places, meeting new people, and experiencing the wonders of nature.
As I continue to nurture my passion for animals, I am excited to see where this journey takes me. With each passing day, I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in the lives of these incredible creatures.

Stylist
Georgia
I am an avid dog lover who has turned my passion into a profession by working in the field of dog grooming. Currently, I hold a C&G Level 2 in Dog grooming and my primary goal is to make the grooming process less intimidating and more enjoyable for nervous dogs, mainly by using positive reinforcement techniques. My fondness for dogs started when I was just a child. Since then, it has evolved into more than just affection; I have a deep understanding and respect for these loyal companions. In particular, my experience with my own rescue terrier, Larry, who struggles with reactivity, has provided me with valuable insights on how to manage dogs with behavioural difficulties. Despite the challenges, I wouldn't change a thing as my life feels incomplete without them. My favorite breeds include terriers and poodles, and I have a special place in my heart for English Bull Terriers and Toy Poodles, which I hope to own one day. Apart from that, I also aspire to explore the world of competitive grooming. As someone who absolutely loves all things dogs, it seems like a fitting venture. Through hard work and dedication, I believe I can make this dream a reality.
